Anderson named Rangers coach

Larissa Anderson has today been announced the new head coach of WNBL team Dandenong Jayco Rangers.

Anderson has had much success with the SEABL Rangers, coaching them to win the title in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She will be the first female coach the team has had in their 23 year program.

Anderson spent her playing career at the Bulleen Boomers and Dandenong Jayco Rangers, and is a WNBL life member. Since taking up coaching, she has been named ‘coach of the year’ four times.

CEO David Graham: “Larissa’s coaching credentials have been impressive in the SEABL competition to date and we’re all confident that she’ll be successful at WNBL level. Larissa has played in both competitions so she knows what it takes to compete at the highest grade.”

“She has great rapport with players and we feel, amongst many other criteria, that that is important in our push for the club’s next WNBL title. We’d like to congratulate Larissa on this fantastic appointment.”
